On May 28, 2014, UCI President Brian Cookson visited the Republican cycling track "Saryarka". His arrival is timed to coincide with the Asian Cycling Championships taking place in Kazakhstan.

It is worth creating some kind of infrastructural conditions for mountain biking, road racing, track cycling and BMX. And I would also like to strengthen the position of cycling in the Olympic movement. I have a set of tasks for the next few months that need to be addressed and I will be very busy with that.”

This visit shows that the International Cycling Union pays great attention to the Asian Championships taking place in Kazakhstan and the conditions for its holding.
