On Monday in Astana, the results of the Winter Championship of the country in tempo events, keirin and team sprint, as well as the Republican competitions in all-around and sprint were summed up.
Over the first three days of March, 14 sets of medals were awarded.
In men, the best results were shown by: Zaki Sultanov, Pavel Vorzhev and Ivan Sivash in the team sprint, Pazylbek Zhaksylyk in the Group race, Ivan Sivash in the standing Gita, and Abdulbasit Samatov in the walking Gita; Dias Omirzakov was the strongest in Scratch. Artem Zakharov and Nikita Panasenko became national champions in the double team race Madison, and Eduard Rosenberg in Keirin.
In the team sprint among women, the duo from the North Kazakhstan region - Alena Sokolova and Makhabbat Umutzhanova - had no equal, and in the Group race - Nadezhda Geneleva from the Almaty region. Amelia Iskakova climbed to the top step of the podium in both the standing and running Quick Lap. In Scratch, Makhabbat Umutzhanova won her next gold medal, and in Keirin Tatyana Zadnepryanova became the strongest.
On the last day of competition, the all-around competition among young men also ended; Sergey Ponomarev became the winner of the Republican competition in Omnium.
