From August 10 to 15, 2024, the Saryarka Republican Cycling Track is hosting the Kazakhstan Championship in Cycling. 118 athletes from various regions of the country are taking part in these competitions: Karaganda, Pavlodar, Zhetysu, Kyzylorda, Almaty, Mangistau, West Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan regions, as well as from the city of Astana.

This year's championship promises to be especially exciting, as juniors born in 2010-2011 are taking part, competing in such disciplines as sprint and individual time trial, also known as tempo.

Sprint, one of the most spectacular types of cycling, is a short and intense race in which each participant tries to develop maximum speed in a limited time. This competition requires athletes to not only have quick reactions, but also powerful explosive force, which allows them to instantly gain speed. Already in the first days of the championship, the sprint became a real test for the participants, forcing them to show their best results on the Saryarka track.

Tempo, or individual time trial, is an equally difficult discipline, where the key factor is the racer's ability to maintain a high pace throughout the entire distance. In this type of race, athletes start one by one, and each of them tries to cover the distance as quickly as possible. This discipline requires not only high speed, but also colossal endurance, since even the slightest mistake can cost precious seconds.
